The purpose of the Metropolitan Japanese Ministry (MJM) is to be an active, pastoral and spiritual presence of the Episcopal Church in the Japanese community of greater New York; to be a resource for local Episcopal congregations, to enable more effective ministry to Japanese; to work ecumenically in the Japanese-American community; to facilitate communications between Americans and Japanese; and to serve the Japanese community in practical ways.
